A "Catty World"
This page of our website is dedicated to those of you love drama, I think we have all heard the phrase "crazy cat lady".
And sadly enough I think that phrase was brought to life after someone got to really know a cat breeder.
As you may have found out in your quest of finding a Persian kitten to add to your home, there are a lot of strange, rude and downright hateful women breeding cats. This is not to say that all cat breeders are this way because they certainly are not.
After almost 25 years in this business, I have seen many, many cat breeders come into the business, only to retreat back to life off the Internet after a year or two due to the ruthless and nasty treatment a cat breeder will be subject to at the hands of a jealous competition.
Many wonderful breeders and some of my closest friends have closed down there cattery and given up many of their cats simply because they could not withstand the way the Internet allows multiple gripe sites and so-called complaint sites to host a fury of vicious attacks under fake screen names. We too have been a target on many of these unethical sites that do not even require a real name or real physical address, so that the author of these fabricated & fictitious stories can be held accountable in a court of law for slander and defamation.
I know this type of cyber attack does not limit itself to pet breeders alone. Whether it be an employee who was fired for coming to work under the influence or an individual who found a hair on their hamburger at a fast food chain. These boards are open for whomever wants to use the site for a sounding board. That is totally fine to have consumer reports sites, however those sites should be ethical themselves. They should require that the individual posting the complaint is a real customer, not a competitor or turbulent ex-employee. I think the Internet can be a wonderful tool in today's busy lifestyles . Yet I also know it can be a playground for mentally deranged individuals who only find pleasure in causing grief and hardship for others. Whether it be jealous competitors, ex-employees or mentally unbalanced individuals the Internet allows words of hate and discontent to be spilled on the pages of these so-called consumer reports sites as though it was factual.
A real consumer report site such as the Better Business Bureau requires documentation that the customer and the complaint are true and valid. The BBB does not host the rants of individuals who are merely aiming to discredit a business with false and fabricated lies. Many of the complaint sites we find on the Internet today are ran by people overseas and in foreign countries who generate money from advertisements they run on the sides of their site. These ads can be anything from Viagra to electronics. Bottom-line they produce an income for whomever owns the site.
These site owners are not interested in truths or facts only that their site stays alive with content.
I have heard these complaint sites be called the tabloids of the Internet. Just because it is printed does not mean it is truth. Bottom line, if your online business becomes successful you can easily become a target of cyber attacks at the hands of whom ever wants to tear you down. This could be anything from an ex husband to an animal rights activist.
It is disheartening to say the least that two individuals (both cat breeders) I have known personally felt there was no way to escape the printed lies on these unethical sites other than to take their own lives.
Both individuals spent thousands on lawsuits to no avail in an attempt to make the wrongdoers be held accountable, but because the Internet serves as a playground for merciless, vindictive and vicious words to be displayed as truth, they felt no life at all was better than the life they had to face as their friends and family stumbled across brutal and barbaric comments of jealous competitors and crazy cat ladies who hid behind ruthless screen names with no remorse or accountability.
We hear of teenagers who claimed their own life by being made fun of on Facebook, myspace, ect.
These same fatalities claim grown-ups lives too, just on different sites.
How anyone can live with themselves and be at peace with their day-to-day life knowing actions they are responsible for have caused so much grief & tears in another heart is something I myself will never be able to understand.
For those of you who have fallen into the vicious piranha tank of cat breeders that clearly define the phrase crazy cat lady and feel there is no way to escape the monstrous and outlandish post about your cattery, yourself, your family and your business practices. I urge you not to walk away from what you love, but to enter the world of truth by becoming a member of the Better Business Bureau.
While we here at Cozy Kitten Cattery have maintained an A+ rating after 24 years in business yet we appear to be ruthless, vicious and unmerciful people through the eyes and posts on these savage gripe sites.
It really boils down to what the customer wants to believe, fake tenacious screen names on unethical complaint sites or trustworthy consumer reports sites whom have been around the test of time and require truth of the complaint to be produced & verified.
Yes, we will always run into those customers who seek out everything in their life for free by using nitpicking and complaining to get what they want for nothing but those types of people will someday face their own critical assessment. A very old and wise cat breeder who had been breeding for over 36 years referred to those people as weeds in a flower garden of customers.
Into all lives and types of businesses those weeds exist, they cannot be made happy no matter how hard we try and in many cases not even refunding all of their money and allowing them to keep the kitten will result in a happy outcome. That's life.
So in a nutshell let this page serve as a knowledgeable piece of information to remind those of you who seek out drama, you are in the right place when you are indulging in taking words of hate and discontent to heart instead of following the path to the ONLY ethical consumer report library in the country.....The Better Business Bureau
